Les Tapisseries
From the 14th to the 18th century, the interiors of castles and manor houses were adorned with magnificent tapestries. These hand-woven artworks depicted not only mythical scenes but also everyday life among the traditional upper classes. They brought warmth and colour to grand rooms and often served as captivating conversation pieces for guests.
Les Tapisseries is an ode to these sumptuous wall hangings. As an extension of Arte’s Décors & Panoramiques collection, it features five décors and five panoramas. Each design is inspired by a classic, centuries-old tapestry that has been reimagined and revived through a contemporary lens.
Floraison
With its ornate frame, Floraison recalls the character of a classical painting. It is designed after an original 18th-century tapestry from Aubusson, and the composition draws the viewer almost irresistibly into the scene. The panorama is executed on a parchment‑like base, emphasising the authentic origin of the drawing.
