Marqueteries

In search of movement, wood has traded in its silent stillness in favour of rhythm. It has many incarnations. It can be straight, fragmented or ripped apart, stretching out its willowy fibres in a checked pattern, as part of a muted, poetic art form. Cut paper-thin, it creates a decor with unique geometric and graphic compositions made entirely by hand.

In its meticulously assembled natural compositions, Paulownia has left the woods to create its own graphic vocabulary. Dyed using the latest technology, it can be both warm and cold and is combined with a metal backdrop in some models.
